All Kate’s linocut prints are designed and hand-printed from her studio in the Lune Valley, Lancashire. Kate graduated from Falmouth University in 2020 with a BA(Hons) degree in Textile Design, but has decided to specialise in printmaking & illustration.
Feather print in Burnt Sienna ink, hand printed onto a warm off-white Japanese Awagami Bunkoshi 70 g paper. This papers texture is classically Japanese Fine Art Paper. The Awagami Editioning papers are created with the rich history of over 300 years of washi papermaking. This paper is acid free, archival quality, featuring four feathery deckled edges.
In early September of this year, Kate found a large feather in her garden, which turned out to be from a Tawny Owl. This inspired this linocut design, along with the additional ‘Tawny Owl’ print, also printed on Japanese Awagami paper.
Each print is hand signed, titled and numbered and comes with a board backing & is cellophane wrapped for protection.
