This is an original painting, in acrylic, on Saunders Waterford paper. I am fascinated by Greek Mythology and am occasionally inspired to create work connected to the Greek Gods and Goddesses, represented in a more contemporary way. Drawing inspiration from ancient Greek vases, this painting features Apollo, twin of Artemis and son of Greek God Zeus. Apollo was the God of many things including music, sun, light, art, poetry, medicine and knowledge. Known for delighting Olympus with tunes played on his golden lyre (a small harp) he was also the God of light and served as an intermediary between the Gods and men. The laurel, used in Greece as a status symbol, was Apollo’s tree.

All UK postage and packing is included in the price of this unframed painting, which is already mounted in a white mount, with a board backing and is cellophane wrapped for protection. Please allow up to 7 working days for delivery of the painting, which will be posted Royal Mail Recorded Delivery.
